Air Conditioning Repair in Stevensville
Hamilton Heating & Air repairs central air conditioners in Stevensville, MD. Our shop is on John Patrick Drive, in town. If your AC is blowing warm air, leaking water or not starting at all, call or text (301) 748-9345 and describe what you see and hear.
Stevensville has water on several sides. The Chesapeake Bay lies to the west, and the Chester River runs past the north end of the island. Air near the water carries salt and moisture, and both are hard on the thin aluminum fins of an outdoor condenser. Summers here are humid too, so your AC has to pull water out of the air as well as cool it.
Salt Air and the Outdoor Unit
A condenser close to the bay can show white crust or pitted fins on its coil over time. Bent or clogged fins trap heat inside the unit, so it runs longer and cools less. A gentle rinse with a garden hose, with the power off at the outdoor disconnect, helps keep the coil clear. Never use a pressure washer on the fins. When we come out for a repair, we can look at the coil along with the part that failed, so you know where the unit stands.
When the Indoor Half Is the Problem
Half of a central AC lives indoors. In a Stevensville home the air handler may sit in an attic, a closet or a crawlspace. On humid days its drain line carries a lot of water. If that line clogs, water backs up into the pan, and a float switch may shut the AC off to stop a leak. A dead AC with a full drain pan is a common fault. Our main AC repair page walks through the other usual causes.

What Your Neighbors Are Saying About Us
I've relied on Hamilton Heating & Air for multiple service calls over the years and Mike has always been able to identify and fix the issues quickly. When it came time to replace our entire HVAC system, the experience was smooth. The lead time was faster than expected, installation was quick, and he even went out of his way to lend a portable AC unit while we waited for the new system. Mike is responsive, dependable, and has a level of customer care that's harder to find. I'd highly recommend Hamilton Heating & Air, LLC for any HVAC needs.
